Chairman of the state’s peak planning body David Caddy will retire from the role by the end of 2024, after five decades of service in the sector.

Mr Caddy has been chair of the Western Australian Planning Commission for six years, being appointed in 2018.

He will retire from the role at the end of the year, the state government today announced.

Mr Caddy has been in the urban and regional planning industry for 50 years.
