Thresholds for Keystart home loans will be lifted to reflect surging Perth property prices and make the market more accessible for first homebuyers.

The West Australian can reveal housing — a key battleground ahead of the March 8 election — will be in focus when the Cook Government delivers its pre-Christmas budget review on Monday.

The property price limit for low deposit home loans under Keystart will increase from $650,000 to $730,000.
