CLAREMONT Council is paving the way for a new apartment, shop and business strip to eight storeys on Stirling Highway.

Councillors have amended the Stirling Highway Local Development Plan, allowing for six storeys on the strip’s 70 blocks, and up to eight at two designated landmark sites, between its town centre and Loch Street.
